Highly recommend Chris and Camera Electronics. I went in with a minor setting problem on my camera. Chris happily fixed the issue and gave clear explanations throughout. He was courteous, informative and respectful. Excellent service! I will not go anywhere else!

I've purchased camera gear and hired equipment at the Camera Electronic Stirling Street for over 20 years. I have always found the staff here to really know their gear and they always take the time to answer all my questions without being pushy or making me feel it was a silly question. I ordered an L bracket and had it shipped from WA to Melbourne. Ten days passed and nothing arrived. When I finally called, a young gentleman answered — and from that moment, the experience turned around completely. He listened, he was attentive and empathic, and he promised to call me back by end of day. True to his word, he rang within a few hours. Turns out someone had fallen ill and my order had been overlooked and never dispatched. He didn't make excuses. He owned it, apologised sincerely, and offered a clear solution — overnight delivery, in my hands the next day. And that's exactly what happened. Product arrived as described. Promise kept. Here's what I'll say to anyone reading this — if you want to know what an organisation is really worth, don't judge them when everything goes smoothly. Judge them when something goes wrong and watch how they react. This young man showed real character, and so did this business. They've got a customer for life. Well done.

I went in to sell my used DSLR, and Saul and his team provided incredibly pleasant service, backed by their deep professional knowledge and patience. I ended up trading in my old gear for a lens filter, and the entire process was super smooth and efficient. I also want to give a special shoutout to a team member whose name I unfortunately forgot. He went above and beyond by helping me connect my new camera to my phone via Bluetooth—something I had been struggling with for ages! I greatly appreciate this extra help, especially since I didn’t even purchase the new camera from them. I will absolutely be coming back here for all of my future photographic gear!

What great service and help I received from the wonderful people at Camera Electronic. Paddy was my main go to person, but I had lots of interactions from just about everyone that works at Stirling Street. My transactions were all done via phone and email as I am rural so unable to come into the shop (though been there many moons ago), my purchases were mailed and everything was perfect. When I decided to purchase new Nikon gear I thought I would go to Saul and the guys from Camera Electronic, I felt they were perfect and I had lots of trust in their opinions and suggestions, and I would absolutely do so again. Thanks everyone at Camera Electronic :)
